DP COOKS!
Who:
All parents, family, students, faculty, staff, and friends who support excellence for the Dos Pueblos High School Art Department and continued participation for all interested students in art programs.
What:
A student-illustrated cookbook of family heritage recipes from the DP Community! We would love to have recipes for all kinds of good food: party dishes, vegetarian meals, inexpensive, easy recipes that students can put together in a dorm room/kitchen, desserts, and especially recipes that reflect your family’s heritage. Students, if you have a successful recipe from the Charger Inn Cook-off, we’d love to include that DP tradition in the book. All recipes welcome, we’ll figure out which category to put them in.
We are also looking for advertisers. So, if you own a restaurant or food-related business or know someone who does, or just someone for whom this might be an appropriate advertising venue, please have them contact Claire d’Anthès at

We need parent volunteers to help proof-read and coordinate orders, ads, and sales. We will have online pre-orders and sales to make this flow easily. If the timing works out right, we will be able to include order forms in registration packets next fall.
When:
Submit recipes in the suggested format, (instructions available in print or online soon at www.dphs.org, by May 1, 2010. (Translation provided, wherever possible). Proposed publication, Fall 2010.
Why:
We are all looking at the biggest budget crunch in our lifetimes. Arts funding is the first to be cut, and the last to be restored. We think this will be a fun, inclusive, and creative way to fund supplies and experiences for all students and get together as a community in support of Art.
Where:
For ease and efficiency in editing the cookbook, we would appreciate it if you can enter your recipes online at www.typensave.com. The link is available on the DPHS website. The group login is charger and the password is sunflower. The online form is self-explanatory and answers to most questions you might have are under Faqs on the recipepage.
If you do not have access to a computer, forms are also available from your child’s art teacher, the EL office, and the switchboard. Direct all handwritten recipes and other questions to Claire d’Anthès,
